Spanish Giants, Real Madrid has announced its plans to redevelop its iconic stadium, Santiago Bernabeu.

The club in a statement on Tuesday said it had set aside 400 million euros for the remodeling which is expected to start in 2017.
The work is expected to last till 2020.

The Club had tried to remodel its famed venue on several occasions but earlier projects were rejected by the city and court decisions.

The Club President, Florentino Perez said the remodeling will help generate more revenue for the Madrid City through its tourism attraction.

“We will see a dramatic transformation of the Santiago Bernabeu. This stadium is one of the emblematic icons of our city and we want to make it one of the best stadiums in the world and the undisputed symbol of the strength of our capital.”

“With this agreement we will start a process of modernisation and transformation that will convert the stadium into an avant-garde architectural icon. This stadium will act as an economic and touristic invigorator and will contribute to strengthening the image of our city.”

For work to begin in 2017, as is hoped, the latest proposal needs to sail through the formality of not being opposed by local residents. With the original complaints having been addressed that is expected to happen and give way to a process of bidding for the construction contract
The current 81,000 capacity will not be increased but Perez said there would be 3,000 new seats replacing old seating.

The club’s initial plan was to build a hotel and a shopping centre along with the remodelled stadium, something that had prompted fierce opposition across the city.

The club will still be able to use the new space commercially, but not how it originally planned.

Akanna Okeke: 6 Ways to Make People Like You

I’ve been told numerous times that I am very likable and I have seen this for myself too.  Somehow, I just seem to obtain the favour of those around me; from bosses to teachers, to friends to colleagues.  I remember leaving my last job and there was a send off gathering where each co-worker was asked to say what they thought about me.  I got comments like: “He’s a politician”; “He’s in everybody’s camp”; “No, he’s smart and diplomatic. He knows how to please everybody and stay close to key people”.

Snoop Dogg Would Have Gotten “Jail Time” If – Trump

Donald Trump took aim Wednesday at Snoop Dogg, saying the rap star would have gotten “jail time” had he pointed his gun at Barack Obama rather than the current US president in a video. Snoop Dogg, an early figure in California gangsta rap who has mellowed in recent years, this week released a video pegged to the release of his album “Lavender” in which most actors are clowns. One clown — unmistakably a parody of Trump, sporting bouffant hair and a red tie that dangles below the waist — gesticulates wildly at the podium of “The Clown House.” The clown puts his hands up as if under arrest as Snoop Dogg draws a pistol, with a flag popping out that says “Bang!” “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” Trump wrote on Twitter. Snoop Dogg was one of the leading rappers of the 1990s with hits such as “What’s My Name?” and “Gin & Juice.” In recent years, he has shed h...
