Netherlands suffered their first defeat in the European qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup after losing 1-0 at home to France in Group Aon Monday night.
The only goal of the game was scored by Paul Pogba in the 30th minute.
The win takes France's points to seven while Netherlands remainon on four points.
Also in Group A, Sweden beat Bulgaria 3-0 to increase their points haul to seven.
Ola Toivonen, Oscar Hiljemark and Victor Lindeloef were all on target for Sweden.
In Group H, Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke bagged a hat-trick as Belgium thrashed Gibraltar 6-0 to make it three straight wins.
Other scorers for Belgium were Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens and Axel Witsel.
In other results, Portugal walloped Faroe Islands 6-0 away, Latvia lost 2-0 at home to Hungary, Belarus were held 1-1 at home by Luxembourg, Switzerland edged Andorra 2-1, Bosnia-herzegovina beat Cyprus 2-0 at home, while Greece beat Estonia 2-0.
