Okocha Impressed By Super Eagles' Team Spirit Ahead Of Friendlies

The Former Super Eagles captain Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha has commended the team spirit in the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of the friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso.

The Eagles face Senegal on Thursday night and Burkina Faso on Monday, both at The Hive in London.
Okocha currently in Nairobi, Kenya, for the 2017 Barclays Kenya Open Tournament where he will participate as a guest golfer tweeted his satisfaction with the camaradarie among the players after watching videos of team bonding sessions posted by John Ogu.

"Amazing team spirit guys…Isaac Success trying out @iam_davido song. Welcome indeed to the @Supereagles," Okocha said.

The videos show newcomers Success, Tyrone Ebuehi, Olanrewaju Kayode and Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee either singing or dancing in 'initiation rites' as others cheer them on.

The Eagles have been active on social media and stressing the need of their togetherness as they use both friendlies to prepare for the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Governor Al-Makura’s Son To Face Manslaughter Charge

Mr. Khaleel Umar Al-Makura, the son of Nasarawa state governor, Umar Al-Makura, is to to be prosecuted for alleged manslaughter. He was arrested over the killing of a student of Government Secondary School, Lafia. The police say that Khaleed would be charged soon. The killing of Ovye Amos in a road accident on Monday night had sparked a protest in the school. The students took to the streets on Tuesday carrying placards with various inscriptions demanding justice for the killing Amos, a Junior Secondary School two student. The police, officers of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps, teachers and government officials intervened to calm the students. The governor’s son was reported to have hit the deceased with a car, Channels TV reported. Addressing the students at the school parade ground, the Nasarawa state Commissioner for Education, Aliyu Tijjani, said that government had taken measures to ensuring that the person that perpetrated this killing was brought to book. ...
