NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISM STUDENT WEEK 2022 'EXHALE' SPORT FIESTA

Nigerian Institute of Journalism student athletes representing various teams battle to win laurels during the student week sports event on Wednesday 22nd June, at the school pitch.

This year student week ‘exhale’ brings students from difference walks of life and engage them in different sporting activities like; Football, Basketball , Yoga, Table Tennis, Aerobics and lots more. Among every other games, football is the prominent sports everyone looks forward to for both men and female categories in the school.

Higher National Diploma 1 and 2 female football team defeated National Diploma 1 one goal to nil. The magnificent goal score by the ladies seal the victory for the team as they register their name on the school records.

The men categories later crack it out immediately the female team ended their match. The ND1 overpowered their counterpart leading 2 goals to 1 to lift the trophy for this year student week ‘exhale’. https://on.soundcloud.com/1oK4gPPW9YsG6MVh7
The Higher National Diploma 1 team who first netted the opening goal in the first half of the match failed to convert their chances as luck was against them while their opponent utilizes the few chances they had to secure their victory and crown the winner of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism student week ‘exhale’ football match 2022.

Governor Al-Makura’s Son To Face Manslaughter Charge

Mr. Khaleel Umar Al-Makura, the son of Nasarawa state governor, Umar Al-Makura, is to to be prosecuted for alleged manslaughter. He was arrested over the killing of a student of Government Secondary School, Lafia. The police say that Khaleed would be charged soon. The killing of Ovye Amos in a road accident on Monday night had sparked a protest in the school. The students took to the streets on Tuesday carrying placards with various inscriptions demanding justice for the killing Amos, a Junior Secondary School two student. The police, officers of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps, teachers and government officials intervened to calm the students. The governor’s son was reported to have hit the deceased with a car, Channels TV reported. Addressing the students at the school parade ground, the Nasarawa state Commissioner for Education, Aliyu Tijjani, said that government had taken measures to ensuring that the person that perpetrated this killing was brought to book. ...
